How long you been mushroom hunting? What part of the country do you pick? I've been mushroom hunting for like 35 years... damn im getting old... ha

I never mushroom hunted or foraged for them because I was scared mushrooms are too complicated.
Hence I only studied edible plants because I was told they are easier.

There are a few things you need to understand with mushrooms to be safe but I do understand it seeming scary. I started as soon as my dad trusted me to walk in the woods so I dont really even remember when I started but my dad only knew golden chanterelles so I have learned alot more but didn't have the fear. Anyone can learn though, dont need to be afraid of the mushroom but you do need to respect the mushroom!

You could say five years but really I don’t forage that often but if I find an edible mushroom I will cook it and eat it.
