There's a wild idea floating around in my hear about foraging and profit. Most of us, myself included, are into this for all kinds of reasons and none of those is profits, so I was wondering is something like this even doable? I'm not talking about selling to the local store, but to people who are unable or don't want to have certain herbs or mushrooms delivered to them.

That's interesting and honestly quite appealing but I think it can also be quite a challenge.
One is consistent supply since wild populations fluctuate and depend on weather.
There are also legal restrictions to consider, like permits or where you're even allowed to forage.
I think liability is also a big one when selling wild edibles, as you'd need to be absolutely sure of identification and safety.
Also, the sheer time investment required to find enough quality product to make it profitable can be immense.
It's not impossible for very niche items, but I think it's far from a simple side hustle.

I'm not trying to ruin your idea, but I think you should have some realistic expectations. Don't look at this as some business model that will make you millionaire overnight, it's not a ponzi scheme. There is some potential for profit, but I wouldn't quit my day job for this. With that aside, i think it might be a good idea and as a few here mentioned, start with smaller batches and see how it goes. If you're happy, you can always expand and use social media to sell mode.
