Ottawa area: mushroom hunt?

Hello everyone, it's really nice to meet you.

I joined here to find a community of foragers who are interested in shrooms and edibles. I'd love to be part of it, whether it is an actual group or just an event to hunt mushrooms and the likes.

By brother was in Ontario for a few years and he was a lot into foraging, a lot more than me and he said that the goto place is the Mycological Society of Toronto. In addition to that, you can go a bit more locally and look up some facebook groups with events and gatherings in your area

Sometimes local conservation areas host mushroom walks, I'm not really sure, I dont stay in Ontario

this is true, search for "Ontario Mushroom Foraging," "Ontario Wild Edibles," or "Ontario Foraging" groups. Many active communities connect there, though always exercise caution and verify information from online sources with reputable guides or experts.
